Manuel Campos

Manuel De La Luz Campos Torres, born on June 17, 1926, in Lima, Peru, peacefully left this world on December 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband to Blanca Campos Cajas for 65 years. Manuel was a loving father to Alfredo Campos and (wife Ruth), Rosario Campos, and Luis Campos (wife Fatima). He was a proud grandfather to Joel, Alfredo, Ray, Sandra, Reuben, Sara, Richie, Luis, and Elena; a great-grandfather to Alexis, Morgan, Kevin, Sebastian, Gabriel, Christian, Aliyah, Declan, Leonidas, Liam, Sadie, Elijah, Amado, Milo, Emmanuel, and Logan; and great-great grandfather to Aria. Manuel worked as a mechanic for over 45 years in various shops such as Ford, Velo, Great Bear, Firestone, and through his hard work and commitment, he was able to achieve his dream of owning his own shop, Manuel’s Auto Repair in Long Island, NY. His commitment and integrity shone brightly in all aspects of his work and as a result Manuel was able to establish many relationships with vendors in all aspects of the Auto business. Manuel’s love for his family knew no bounds; he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and creating everlasting memories with them. Beyond his career and family life, Manuel enjoyed watching soccer and his favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees. During his retirement in Tucson, AZ, Manuel enjoyed tending to his garden and growing the biggest/juiciest lemons from his lemon tree. Manuel’s friends and family remember him for his dedication, commitment, and unwavering love and support to his family. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. A Mass will take place at Our Motther of Sorrows, 1800 S Kolb Rd, Tucson, AZ 85710, on March 9, 2024, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at All Faiths Cemetery, 2151 S Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, AZ 85748. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
