Tobin W. Bryant
October 10th, 1969 - March 15th, 2018
Tobin W. Bryant, beloved son, brother, and friend passed away suddenly at his childhood home on Thursday, March 15, 2018. His passing came after a long battle with anxiety and depression. Tobin was born on October 10th, 1969 in Tucson, Arizona. Throughout his life he was an extremely talented artist, an elementary school teacher and a clinical research coordinator. He is survived by his mother, Carol Bryant of Tucson; brother Stephen Bryant and husband Allan Golston of Seattle; brother Garry Bryant of Tucson and his daughter Candace Bryant and two great-nieces, Ava and Mya Ruiz of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and the beloved family dog “Little Bit.” Tobin was preceded in death by his father Billy W. Bryant. Tobin graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1988 and continued his studies at Pima Community College where he earned an Associate of Applied Science with a focus on Advertising Art. He furthered his education at the University of Arizona achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Education focusing on Elementary Education. Most recently, he returned to Pima Community College to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Clinical Research Coordination. He enjoyed expressing his life through his art and touched many through his work. He impacted the lives of many children as a kindergarten teacher for over ten years at Dessert Mosaic Elementary School. His gentle heart and loving personality were traits that we will cherish forever. As an avid sports fan, he was a member of the local Jet’s Fan Club. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him and his legacy will live forever through his art. We invite you to celebrate his life on Saturday March 24th at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 8051 E. Broadway, Tucson, Arizona at 2:30 PM where a reception will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to COPE Community Services of Tucson, Arizona. “Perhaps it is good to have a beautiful mind, but even greater to have a beautiful soul.”
