The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home for James “Jim” Arthur Pelkey of Marcola, who died Dec. 8 following an auto accident. He was 44.He was born Aug. 31, 1966, in Eugene to Dustin and Linda Henderson Pelkey. He and his wife, Sally Ann, were married Sept. 4, 2010, in Marcola. He worked as a carpenter for Oregon Yurt Works for 20 years.Survivors include his wife; his parents of Eugene; a grandmother, Sue Henderson of Springfield; three sons, Jeremy Nielson of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Aiden and Avery Pelkey, both of Eugene; a stepson, Bradley Syrie of Eugene; a sister, Michelle Pelkey of Springfield; and two grandchildren.A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Funeral Home.Remembrances to Alcoholics Anonymous.
