Mary Rosalind Fikes

Mary Rosalind Fikes, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Harvard Villa Assisted Living Facility in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born on August 30th, 1942, in Newport, Kentucky to James and Anne Murray. Mary grew up in Newport, Kentucky. She attended South Mountain High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Mary married Emanual James Geymont ll in 1958 in Phoenix. They had three sons. In 1965, She married Delmar Argus Fikes, had a daughter, and were happily married for 38 years until Delmar's death in 2003. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Delmar, sons Charlie and Gordon Fikes, and granddaughter Juliette. Mary is survived by her sons Jim, David, and Richard; daughters Judie, Christine, and Karen; Sisters Shelly and Gail; brother Jim; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews. Mary had a vibrant passion for life and dedicated it to loving her family and helping people. She loved old movies and all genre of music and was very generous and caring. She touched many lives and made them better for it. She made hundreds of friends and was loved by everyone she met. She was a special soul and we will all miss her greatly. A memorial service will be held at Falconer Funeral Home at 251 W. Juniper Ave, in Gilbert, Arizona, 85233, on Friday, October 4th, 2013 at 4:00 pm.
