Joan Heyden

Joan Heyden was a loving Aunt, Sister and Daughter to her family. She was born in Passaic New Jersey on the Fifth of July, 1941. Joan spent her childhood in Clifton N.J. with her mother Alice and her big sister Lorraine. When Lorraine married, the family joined the newlyweds and moved to Paterson N.J. Joan attended and graduated from St. Joseph"s High School and then went to work at the Courthouse in downtown Paterson. Joan was a dedicated and hard worker and throughout her working career she was an Administrative Assistant in various legal departments at American Cyanamid in N.J., Warnaco in CT. and Carpenter Hazelwood in Tempe. Joan was an avid churchgoer and an active member of St. Anne"s Catholic Parish since moving to Gilbert AZ. in 1995, and for a time Secretary for St. Anne"s Legion of Mary. She was also involved with the Funeral Ministry at St. Anne"s and accompanied some of the Eucharistic Ministers in bringing the Holy Eucharist to those who could not get to church. Joan is survived by her nieces Susan Teeling, Kathleen Ladzinski, and her husband Dennis Ladzinski; her nephews James Teeling, Steven Teeling, and his wife Audrey Teeling. She is also survived by her grand-niece Rachel Ladzinski and her grand-nephews Christopher Teeling and Brian Teeling. Joan was a generous, caring and remarkable woman and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
