Bruce Harold Osborne
August 26th, 1927 - February 2nd, 2017
Bruce Harold Osborne, 89, died Thursday, February 2nd, 2017, following a brief illness. A rare native, Bruce was born and raised in Phoenix, the son of Lawrence and Johnie (Rodgers) Osborne. He was a lifelong resident of Phoenix. Bruce served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He met his wife, Helen Peterson, at church and they were married in 1948 at Central Methodist Church. He went on to complete his education at Arizona State College. After finishing college, Bruce became a teacher and dedicated his life to providing education and guidance to his students. He was also a devoted husband and caring father to his children. An avid golfer, he enjoyed golfing with friends and family members. He leaves behind his wife of over 68 years, Helen (Petersen) Osborne; his son, David Osborne and his daughter, Karen Farmer, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
