Patricia Ann Dunlap Means, 71, of Surfside Beach, SC passed into eternal life on Saturday March 31st at 7:21pm at the home of her daughter Anne M. Carlsson of Gilbert, AZ after a short illness. She was married in 1973 to Joey Lee Means (Windsor, KY) and later divorced remaining friends until her time of death. She leaves behind her daughter, Anne Carlsson, son-in-law Dr. Chad Allen Carlsson and four wonderful grandchildren Nicholas, Riley, Katelyn and Sydney. In her later years she was happily reunited with an adopted son, Trey Tenery, who was raised in Dallas, TX and lives with his family in Lindale, TX. Her loving and generous spirit will be missed by friends across the states and globes including two Exchange student daughters Mariangela Gagliandi (Italy) and Lisi (Stiassny) Heiserer (Austria) and their families. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Tavner Dunlap Jr. and Anna M. Dunlap of Versailles, KY, brother Tavner (Tabby) Dunlap of Versailles, KY, and Bill Dunlap of San Francisco, CA. Surviving sister-in -laws Susan Dunlap, Teresa Morgan, Donna Means. Niece Jordan (Dunlap) Walsh, Nephews Tav "Alex" Dunlap, Jameson Morgan, Jordan Morgan. Her beloved dog Chloe. Patricia attended University of Kentucky and Transylvania University studying Music and Nursing. For years afterward, she enjoyed seeing her college friends while traveling for both Chorale and leisure pursuits. Over the years, Pat enjoyed homes, family and friendships in KY, OH, SC and AZ. In each of these places she met new friends, formed great relationships and was devoted to her church and family life. She was an active member of St. Anne"s Episcopal, OH Church of The Resurrection, SC and St. Matthews Episcopal, AZ where she was involved in the choir and artistic pursuits ("Crafty Ladies", "Shawl Ministry" "Christmas Pageant" "The Madrigal"). She was also a member of The Order of the Daughters of the King deepening her relationship with Christ and loved her weekly Bible Study. Her favorite things in life where her family, her artistic activities including sewing, painting, knitting, needle-point and traveling. She was cared for in her final days by Hospice of the Valley as well as her loving daughter, son in law, grandchildren, special cousin Frances Jones, devoted sister in law Donna Means and wonderful friend Karen Brassfield. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Services will be held both in Arizona and Kentucky: Friday, April 13, 2018 at 6:00PM St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Chandler, Arizona & Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00PM Pisgah Presbyterian Church Versailles, Kentucky
