Roger Peter Navas

Roger Peter Navas of Gilbert, AZ passed away on November 6, 2009 at the age of 77. He was born on July 30, 1932 in Long Island City, New York to Pasquale and Josephine Navas; one of 10 children (2 sisters and 7 brothers including twin brother, John of Chandler, Arizona. Roger served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He began his working career at the age of eight as a grocery clerk and had varied professions leading to a successful business in heavy earthmoving construction equipment. He is survived by his wife Cathy of Gilbert, three sons Alex Navas of Tucson, Roger Navas, Jr of California, Ronald Navas of Florida, two daughters Doreen Como of Florida and Karen Waters of Florida. He is also survived by brothers John, Arthur and Charles and sisters Elvira Salese and Anne Carol Ging as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter Theresa in 1964. Visitation was held on Saturday November 7, 2009 at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W Juniper Ave. Gilbert AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church 440 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ.
