John Craig Lamb

John Craig Lamb, age 68, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack, on July 7, 2018, in Queen Creek, Arizona. Craig is survived by his daughters, Loreen Lamb Geiger, Lacey Lamb, LuAnne Lamb Price and her husband Johnny Price; his grandchildren, Garrett Geiger, Genna Geiger, Gage Geiger, Grady Geiger; Makensey Muridan, Emaley Muridan, Nataley Lamb, Nathan Lamb; Hillary Price, and Julia Price; his mother, Willa Dean Lamb; his brothers and sisters, Carol Stafford and her husband Jerry Stafford, Brian Lamb and his wife Laury Lamb, Brent Lamb and his wife Stephanie Lamb, Annette Brennan and her husband Sterling Brennan, and Darrin Lamb; and their families. He is preceded in death by his father, John Clyde Lamb, his brother James Lamb, and his infant sister Beverly Ann. Craig was born on January 8, 1950, in Mesa, Arizona, to parents John Clyde Lamb and Willa Dean Lamb. He graduated from Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Arizona, in 1968. In high school, Craig was known as the "best dressed" and "Old Krag". He was in the Future Farmers of America Gilbert Chapter, Student Council, Journalism, Football and Track. After graduation, he attended college. Craig also served a mission in the Netherlands for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After returning from his mission, Craig lived in Colorado and Idaho, working in the dairy and cattle businesses. He also worked in the excavating business for many years, primarily in Idaho, Utah, and Arizona. Some of Craig"s projects and accomplishments in the excavating business were: ownership of Arizona Pipeline, dug a Boise hockey rink, Boise Overland overpass, environmental clean-up at mining and nuclear sites and old cyanide and leach fields, cabin and shed building, built a Baptist church, and Qdoba restaurants. Craig could historically out-load trucks over any excavator, even after losing parts of his fingers on both hands in a tragic accident. More recently even, he could still out-perform all the millennials in the business. In addition to many years in the excavating business, Craig also co-owned the Corner Bar and Restaurant in Yellow Pine, Idaho, where he served many visitors during the annual Harmonica Festival. Craig enjoyed having fun with family and friends. We will always remember him as a stubborn, hard-working cowboy that we love very much. A visitation is scheduled for Craig Lamb on Friday, July 20th, 2018, at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 West Juniper Avenue, Gilbert, AZ 85233. We are dedicating this time to informal visiting, so please feel free to come and go any time between 9:00am to 11:00am. The graveside service is scheduled just following the visitation at San Tan Memorial Gardens, 22425 East Cloud Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
