Linda Marie Shupe
September 12th, 1941 - November 15th, 2018
Linda Marie Shupe, 77, of Reno Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1095 Golconda Dr. Reno, NV 89509 on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 12:00 noon with visitation at 11:00 am. Internment will take place at the City of Mesa Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona. Linda was born in Reno, Nevada on September 12, 1941 to Thomas Haslam Archibald and Erma Bradshaw Lindley. After graduating from Reno High School, she attended beauty school and worked for Merle Norman. Linda was introduced to the love of her life, Dwayne Shupe, by her boss at Merle Norman, Hazel Schindler, and her and Dwayne were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on March 26, 1966. Linda loved being a mom and stayed home to raise their three beautiful daughters. She loved sewing, crocheting, reading, shopping, traveling with her sister Carla, and spending time with family. She was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and fulfilled many callings during her lifetime. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and was one of His most obedient disciples. She was a wonderful example to her family of loving and serving others. Linda is survived by her children Teresa (Delbert) Adair, Kyla (Rob) Robertson, and Kristi (Eric) BriceÁ±o. She adored her grandchildren Morgan (Steve) Soto, Hayden Adair, Keenan (Taylor) Robertson, Dallin Robertson, Elena Robertson, Hailey Askew, Tiana (Doug) Bennion, and Riley Franklin. She fell in love with her great grandson, Levi Bennion, the minute she saw him. She"s also survived by her sister, Carla Tyler, sister-in-laws, Vivian Archibald, Leoda McDaniel, Alta Davidsen, Thelma Chapman, Gaylene Kleinschmidt, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Pudge. Linda is preceded in death by her eternal companion, Dwayne Shupe, and her brother Calvin Archibald. Linda will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
