Phyllis Elizabeth Peterson
July 10th, 1927 - February 2nd, 2021
Phyllis Peterson, 93, passed away on February 21, 2021 in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born on July 10, 1927 to Daisy and William Halliday of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. On October 9, 1945 Phyllis married Alexander Wilson. While living in Canada they had ten children: Ann, Joyce, Larry, Brain, Terry, Alfred, Ronald, Kenneth, Mary, and Dwight. They then moved to Mesa Arizona, where they would have two more children Joe and Julia. They were married 35 years until Alex passed away on January 31, 1981. Phyllis later married Russ Peterson on September 11, 1987. They were married until January 9, 1996 when Russ passed away. Phyllis dedicated her professional life working in the medical field. As a caregiver, she loved working with the elderly and the terminally ill. Phyllis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she served in many different positions in the church. She especially enjoyed serving in Cub Scouts. Phyllis biggest joy in life was her family and friends. She was a mother to 12 children and a grandmother and great grandmother to over 100+ children. She enjoyed spending time with her large family. She is proceeded in death by her parents and children Ann Benton, Ron Wilson, and Terry Wilson. Phyllis is survived by children Joyce Olsen, Larry Wilson, Brian Wilson, Alfred Wilson, Kenny Wilson, Mary Bryant, Dwight Wilson, Joe Wilson, Julia Wilson, and their families. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and her friends.
