Berniece O"Dell Thomas was called to glory at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Chandler, Arizona. She was born on September 8, 1928 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Vernie and Lucille Dade. Berniece was an avid bowler, loved movies, hats and loved to cook. She was a true family woman and friend. Berniece is survived by her mother Lucille Mays, cousin Henry Julius, son, Billy Thomas, daughters; Nura, Bunny, Sharon, grandchildren; David Thomas, Renee Thomas, Marlena LV Thomas, Robert Boyd, Tonya Collier, Lorraine Davenport, Robert Davenport, Wayne Thomas, 13 great-grandchildren, more friends than can be counted and her beloved dog Bandit. Berniece was preceded in death by her husband Willie A. Thomas and her beloved daughters. A Memorial service will be held at Mountain Park Community Church, 2408 E. Pacos Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85048, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 4:00 P.M.
