Herbert Thomas Johnson

Herbert Thomas Johnson, "Johnson" as he was known to many, age 58, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1963, the oldest of two children. Johnson currently resided in Gilbert, Arizona and worked for McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. He had a long and successful career in construction. For most of his career he worked in New Mexico which enabled him to always be nearby for his family. Johnson always said it was for this reason that he became so diverse in his profession. He had to learn different fields of construction to stay home. His dynamic personality and ability to get along with people enabled him to establish and maintain work relationships no matter who he worked for. He took the utmost pride in his work and loved sharing his knowledge with others. Johnson was a simple man who did remarkable things. He had a great sense of humor, strong convictions and a big heart. He was an amazing husband and father. Johnson loved taking long walks with his wife and talking about his favorite subject, "him". Johnson was preceded in death by his sister, Bernadette Renee Gonzales (Castillo). Johnson is survived by his wife, Kelly; son, Cory; son, Josh; and grandson, Damien. He is also survived by his parents Bobby and Agnes Gonzales; nephew, Robert Castillo and several other family members.
