John Robert Elliott, 64 of Chandler, Arizona passed away on September 26, 2010 in Gilbert, AZ. John was born April 24, 1946 to John Eugene and Majie Lee Wing Elliott in Greenville, Kentucky. He grew up in Greenville and attended Greenville High where he was known for his skills on the basketball court. John attended Western Kentucky University before enlisting in the U.S. Army. John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Myria S. Elliott of Chandler, AZ; son John Marcus (Sue) Elliott of Columbus, OH; daughter Lee Nicole (Tom) Reed of Chandler, AZ; one brother, Larry (Charlotte Ann) Elliott; sisters Clarice (Leroy) Willis and Marion (Clifford) Broadnax; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date in Greenville, KY. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to www.standup2cancer.org
