Catherine "Casey" Edith Hopsicker

Catherine "Casey" Edith Hopsicker, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Dalton, MA, passed away on December 29, 2010 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 69. Casey was born March 7, 1941 in Utica, New York to Leonard Deis and Helen Gutchess Helmer. Casey graduated from the Town of Webb School in 1959, and from Depaw University in Greencastle, IN in 1963, with a degree in music education. She spent her early career as a music teacher before becoming a mother. In her later years, Casey was a retail clerk in many craft stores as she uncovered more of her creative side. She enjoyed classical music, knitting, crocheting and card making. She was also an avid reader and writer of poems. Casey is survived by her husband Charles Kenneth Hopsicker of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Lisa Hopsicker of Denver, CO; son, Kenneth "Ken" (Linda) Hopsicker of Littleton, CO; brothers, William "Bill" &(Gail) Helmer of Old Forge, NY, Thomas "Tom" & (Linda) Helmer of Tucson, AZ; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Norris of Mesa, AZ and grandchild Cody Hopsicker of Littleton, CO. A Memorial service will be held on July 17, 2011 in Colorado. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lion"s Camp Tatiyee with a note that it is in memory of Casey Hopsicker at 5283 White Mountain Blvd. Lakeside, Arizona 85929
