Martha Jean DeMoss

Martha Jean Warren DeMoss, 95, of Meadview, Arizona, passed away on December 31, 2023, after living a full, successful, faithful life, and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, as well as touching many lives for the good. Martha was born on November 12, 1928 to Ermest and Abbie Warren in Topeka, Kansas. She was their third child of four children and as a twin, was the first born of them. Her family moved to Apache Junction, Arizona when she was a little girl and she lived there into her adult life. She didn’t move far; as she raised her children in Gilbert, Arizona. Most of her life was spent in Arizona, but she also lived awhile in both the state of Washington and North Carolina. In Martha’s young adult life she enjoyed cooking at the Buckhorn restaurant in Apache Junction, Arizona and then became a great caregiver to so many; including her mom and dad during their elderly years and her husband during his battle with cancer. She also enjoyed favorite activities and hobbies such as doing temple work, serving in her callings at church, visiting grandkids, making quilts, cooking, traveling, and she absolutely loved to read. Martha was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger DeMoss, her parents, and all of her siblings, as well as her eldest son, George Sundwall and three of her grandchildren. She is survived by her remaining five children, Ronna Conley of Darrington, Washington, Paul Baxter (Ewa) of Meadview, Arizona, Clark DeMoss (Kim) of Gilbert, Arizona, Abbie Lilly (Ron) of Stanwood, Washington, Martha Ann Printiss (Ed) of Spanaway, Washington; along with 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Along with her immediate posterity, she has nieces and nephews who already sorely miss her. She is beloved by all that truly knew her. Viewing Services will be held at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W Juniper Ave, Gilbert, AZ 85233 on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 from 4:30-5:30pm. A Celebration of Life will then follow from 6-9pm at Clark and Kim DeMoss’ home, 141 S. Sahuaro Dr, Gilbert, AZ 85233. Graveside Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85015 on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2pm.
