Frederick Palka

In Loving Memory of Frederick Palka Frederick Raymond Palka passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2024, in Florence, Arizona, at the age of 93. Frederick was born on November 2nd, 1930, in Thorndike, Massachusetts, to Wladyslaw “Walter” and Apalonia (Bigda) Palka. At the age of 21, Frederick enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After retiring from the Air Force in 1963, he continued to make a difference in the lives of others through his career with Phelps Dodge Corporation. Frederick held a strong love and dedication to his family, church, and the Lord. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Wladyslaw “Walter” Palka and Apalonia (Bigda) Palka; his wife, Ahnawake (Bigbey) Palka; his son, Frederick Ramsey Palka; his brothers, Bernie, Alexander "Willie," John, Peter, and Stanley; and sisters, Adela Zarenko, Genevieve Stakowski, and Edna Adamczyk. Frederick is survived by his children, Terri Brown, Manya Bailey, and John Palka; daughter-in-law, Pamela (Estes) Palka; son-in-law, Dean Bailey; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other beloved friends and relatives. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
