Donald MillerA memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Valley River Baptist Church for Donald “Don” Richard Miller of Eugene, who died July 28 of emphysema. He was 84.He was born July 9, 1926, in Centralia, Wash., to Curtis and Elva Hughey Miller. He married Edith Adams on May 28, 1954 in Eugene.He attended Eugene High School, was a radio operator in the U.S. Army during World War II, worked in the family well drilling business for five years and was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years before retiring in 1981.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kasey Miller of Byers, Colo., and Debbie Rust of Gresham; a sister, Dorothy Strome of Springfield; and four grandchildren.Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Valley River Baptist Church.
