Karen Carter Karen Cecelia Carter of Eugene, died August 26th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. A native Oregonian, Karen was born November 13, 1949 to Kenneth C. Howe, Lt. Colonel USAF (RET) and Caroline B. Howe in Salem, OR. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Larry D. Howe and her husband, John Stone. She is survived by her beloved children, Allison Rae Carter of Portland, and Brian David Carter (Kristina Carter) of Hillsboro, grandson, Jacob Carter and granddaughter Kassie Danner (AK). She is also survived by her sisters, Charlene Echeverri (Maui, HI) and Diana Baker (Rockville, MD). Karen was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms. All who knew her were touched by her generous heart and sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her many friends. A memorial will be announced at a later date.
