Carol Ann Milek

Carol Ann Milek, 79, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on March 19, 2023. She was born on April 11, 1943, in Hempstead, New York, to the late Philip E. and Ethel (McCullough) Flintzer. Carol was a devoted Christian and an active member of her church. She found joy in serving others, and her compassionate and caring nature made her an exceptional caregiver. She not only cared for her family and friends but also worked as a caregiver for people of all ages and stages of life. She was a comforting presence to many families as they grieved the loss of their loved ones. In her free time, Carol enjoyed reading, doing Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, and playing games like Scrabble and Bunco. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol's unwavering dedication to her faith is best captured in Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Carol lived her life in service of the Lord and her caregiving was a reflection of her deep faith. Carol is survived by her daughter, Veronica of Phoenix; her two sons, Raymond (Shannon) of Peoria and Peter (Shannon) of Gilbert; her grandsons, Kyle, Austen, and Kyle; her granddaughters, Heather, Jenna, and Maddison; and her great-granddaughter, Xarlen. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald (Jean) of DelRay, Florida, Philip (Deanna) of Laguna Hills, California, and Richard (Dorothy) of Boise, Idaho, as well as numerous other family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Christian Church, 14001 N Thunderbird Rd, Sun City, AZ on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:30AM. Carol's legacy of compassion, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
