Jean Ann Belanger

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Belanger, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean passed away on January 14, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Jean is survived by her children Patricia Julius, Dennis Julius and his wife Karen, and Gerald (Buddy) Julius and his wife Carlene . She also leaves behind her sister Sharon Spaulding and her husband Alan, her brother Robert Kloet and his wife Rose, her grandchildren Ashley Lake, Joshua Julius, Kyle Julius, and her great-grandchildren Ellie Lake, Zoey Lake, Mason Julius, and Owen Julius. She had a close and loving relationship with her stepchildren, Janis and her husband Dan Kruel, John Belanger, and Sherry Belanger and their families. Jean was a graduate of St. Mary’s grade school and Mary D. Bradford High School in June 1959. She worked for H.A. Friends and Company in Winthrop Harbor Illinois for over 20 years as an Engraving Inspector. Jean was an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church where she worked as a bereavement coordinator. Jean loved life, dancing, car tours, antiques, and family gatherings. She was an avid shopper, who loved clothes, shoes, and jewelry. After her husband George passed away, she met William Burke, who became a dear companion and loved her until her passing. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Julius, second husband George Belanger, her parents Phyliss Kloet, Nicholas Goos, stepfather Harry Kloet, and brother Dennis Kloet.
