Jacqulyn Stacy (Jensen) Walden on Friday, December 31, ended the hard battle with Polymyositis and all of its inflicting complications at 74 years old with her dear husband, Lew, by her side at Banner Del E Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Arizona. We know that many were there to greet her on the other side. Jacki was born in Oakland, California on September 6, 1947 to Theoda Violet Campbell and James Stevens Jensen joining her two sisters, Julie and Janna. She was raised in Oakland and graduated from Oakland High School in 1965, then attended Don's Beauty School, following her sister Janna's footsteps. Jacki worked for many years as a cosmetologist including several years with Janna. On June 21, 1968 she married Thomas P. Murphy. After a divorce in 1975 in which they remained friends, she married Lewis Graham Walden III on January 1, 1977. She passed away one day before their 45th wedding anniversary. Jacki and Lew lived in San Leandro, California, then moved to Salida, California, where they owned a One Hour Photo in Ceres. In 1995, they moved to Lovelock, Nevada, where they worked as correctional officers at Nevada Department of Corrections in Lovelock from 1995 to 2009 where Jacki was highly respected. They retired in Surprise, Arizona, in 2010 where they were able to enjoy many close friends. Jacki, along with Lew, were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving many years in the Primary organization. Anyone who knew Jacki, loved her. She loved to make you laugh, sometimes hysterically, and did so whenever she found the opportunity. She was fun, friendly, generous, and a caring wife, mother, sister, auntie, and friend. She was definitely one of a kind! Anyone that had the opportunity to be a part of Jacki's life, was blessed! She is survived by her husband Lew, stepson Michael Walden (Anna), sisters Julie Phillips (Bob) and Janna Smith (Fred), half-brothers Paul Jensen (Carlie), Sam Jensen (Vedana, deceased) and Robert Hazen (Tyra), dear step-granddaughters Brooke, Cierra, and Autumn Walden, including several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, one aunt and many close friends. Jacki is predeceased by her parents and her first husband, Tom Murphy. Jacki adored her whole family and friends. She will truly be missed! Services will be February 25th, 2022, at 1:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sierra Montana Ward, Surprise, 14878 North Verde Vista Drive, Surprise, Arizona. Regency Mortuary, 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351, is serving the Walden Family.
