Richard L. Hanson, age 82 of Sun City, Arizona passed away at home, on June 2, 2021 from cancer. He was the son of Louie and Clarice Hanson of Starbuck, Minnesota. Rick is survived by his wife Patricia of 58 years, two children, Randy (Renee) and Steve Hanson, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Extended family members of 2 brothers and 2 sisters, plus numerous nieces and nephews. After graduation, Rick entered the Air Force and served 4 years. He was also a Highway Patrol Officer in North Carolina. He also served as Chief of Police in his home town of Starbuck, MN in the early 70's. He loved working on old cars, and going to old car shows was a favorite pass time. A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. at North Hills Church, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85022. Graveside Services will be held at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ on October 7, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation with family and friends will be held at the home of Randy and Renee Hanson: 18426 N 67th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on October 7th.
