LaVerna Marie (Fenlason) Sobania of Phoenix, Arizona. Born in St. Stephens Village, Minnesota on April 28, 1936. Passed away on January 19, 2020. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leo (Jesse) Sobania SR, father Harris Fenlason, mother Anna (Mensinger) Fenlason. Brothers: Richard (m. Maryann) Fenlason, Henry (m. Geraldine) Fenlason, Robert (m. Michelle) Fenlason and Patrick (m. Delphine) Fenlason. Sisters: Alice Fenlason, Jane (m. Don) Gapinski. And granddaughter Alexandra Sobania. Survived by children: Leo Sobania Jr, Anna (m. Steve) Hahn, Marian (m. Jeffrey) Johannes and Mark (m. Guadalupe) Sobania. Grandchildren: Amber Neuhring, Joshua Johannes, AnneMarie Johannes, Adam (m. Emily) Hahn, Craig (m. Cindy) Hahn and Maija Sobania. Great grandchildren: Dorothy Neuhring, Michael Neuhring, Blake Hahn, Brayden Hahn, Jordyn Hahn Croteau (m. Branden) and Lacey Hahn. LaVerna graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in 1954. Moved to Arizona in 1957. Worked several jobs. Her last job was as a book binder for a ing company that made Arizona Highways magazine before she retired in 1980s. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Private Service for family only. Donations may be made in her name to Banner Hospice.
