Jody Raymond Jody Kay Raymond was born August 10, 1961 in San Pedro, California and was the second child and daughter to Lawrence “Larry” Jerome and Marilyn Jean Raymond. The family moved to Long Beach, California when Jody was around 4 years old. In Long Beach Jody attended John Muir Elementary School, Stephens Junior High School and then Polytechnic High School until 1977 when the family moved to Burien, Washington. Jody was in the 10th grade when she began attending Highline High School where she graduated in 1979. She was working at a nursing home where she earned her CNA. Jody began working at a small electronics company and then transferred to The Boeing Company in 1988. She retired from Boeing in 2017. Jody enjoyed camping and horseback riding during her childhood and early adulthood. She enjoyed time with her friends and family and was an avid animal lover. Jody was the number one fan of the Seattle Seahawks football team and she has a large collection of memorabilia that is a testament to her loyalty. Jody was a loving and generous person. She will be sorely missed. Jody is survived by her mother, 3 sisters, 1 brother-in-law and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was a favored aunty to 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 7 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. Aunt Jody filled my childhood. I can hardly remember a time without her- from chaperoning our school field trips to driving us to get slurpees in the summer, Aunt Jody was always there for her nieces and nephews. When I think about my aunt, I think about the quintessential aunt, I think about someone who loved her nieces and nephews unconditionally and without question. Aunt Jody will be fiercely missed and even more fiercely loved for many years to come. -Angela Aunt Jody was the aunt every kid dreamed of having. We were her children. She will be our model of the perfect aunt for years to come. She also loved her Seahawks. She showed me how to root for our favorite team. She was the ultimate 12. Go Hawks! -Weston Aunt Jody loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. A type of love and caring that was inspirational. My childhood was filled with her love, Taco Bell, candy, Lucille Ball, The Young & The Restless and Dr. Pepper. As well as the Seahawks!!! She was committed to her friends and they were committed to her. Aunt Jody I hope in the last year I was able to show the same commitment to you and I pray I’m able to love my nieces and nephews in the way that you did. -Jessica My memories of Aunt Jody go back as far as I can remember. Pokemon cards and slurpees. She was the kind of aunt that dedicated herself to her nieces and nephews like they were her kids. She was excited to come back and visit Texas to meet her newest great nieces and nephew. It pains me that she won’t get to do that. Every time I watch the Hawks I’ll think of her. She will be sorely missed and live on in our hearts. -Nichole Much of my childhood in Seattle was filled with trips to 7-11 to get slurpees with Aunt Jody, much to my mothers’ disapproval. We’d come home, settle in for a Seahawks game, and then have to cover our ears because Auntie would be berating the player for missing a pass. We’d joke that we could her all the way down in Texas when a game was on. She loved the Seahawks. She loved and spoiled me and the rest of her nieces and nephews insistently. She always wanted to be known as the cool aunt and she will always be the coolest of aunts to me. -Emanuel
