Roy Larsen
November 26th, 1931 - September 14th, 2018
Roy Larsen was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 26, 1931 to Leif and Ragna (Edwardsen) Larsen. He met his wife, Marjorie (Fosse), in Denver, CO while serving in the Air Force. They were married on February 18, 1951. Roy and Marge had a daughter, Janet, and a son, Robert. Roy spent his life enjoying his family and friends, watching the Diamondbacks and the Twins, playing cards and board games, keeping up with the latest news, golfing and playing practical jokes on people. Before retiring to Arizona, he worked in the banking business in Minnesota. On September 14, 2018 he passed on at the age of 86 to his next adventure. He was surrounded by the love and comfort of his wife, daughter and son-in-law (and in spirit by numerous family members and friends) at his new assisted living home. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marge; two children and their spouses: Jan Lee (Bruce), and Bob Larsen (Karen); three grandchildren and their spouses: Seth Fultz (Kassia), Carolyn Volino and Kevin Fultz (Nicole); six great-grandchildren: Jacob, Emily and Anna Fultz, Dominic and Olivia Volino and Oliver Fultz; sister-in-law, Ruth Larsen; two nieces: LeeAnn Fosse and Marilee Brown (Ray); nephew: Mark Fosse (Teri) and numerous friends. A better husband, dad, grandpa and friend could not be found. He will be laid to rest in Albert Lea, Minnesota with a private family Celebration of Life to take place at a later date. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Karsten Larsen and Lloyd Larsen and sister-inlaw, Eshen Larsen, father-in-law and mother-in-law Otto and Agnes Fosse, brother-in-law and sister-inlaw Edward and Lorraine Fosse and brother-in-law Vernell Fosse. The family wishes to express their gratitude to family friend, Deb Schreiber, the Hospice of the Valley team and the staff at Provide Assisted Living home for their excellent care.
