Claretta McMillin
December 14th, 1944 - June 6th, 2017
Clare was born to the late James and Willie Meek, December 14, 1944, in Bakersfield, CA. Her family moved to Arizona when she was very young. She attended Central High School and later attended Sweetwater Bible College where she received her Associates and Bachelor degrees in Theology. She married Robert McMillin on October 5, 1962. Clare and Bob had two beautiful children: Robert Lee McMillin Jr (07/30/65 - 06/08/85) and Dawn Marie McMillin Foote (05/01/67 - 09/03/16). She had two grandchildren from Dawn, Michael and Brandon Foote. Clare was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She definitely had a servants heart and always took care of her family and friends. Clare was an active member of her church. She loved to travel, cook, bake, sew, and crochet. She eagerly awaited the birth of her first grandchild, Michael Austin Foote, Jr. born March 30, 2017. Claretta is survived by her husband Robert McMillin, her grandchildren Michael and Brandon Foote, and her great grandchild Michael Austin Foote, Jr. A memorial service is to be held Saturday June 24, 2017 at 10:00 am at Faith Bible Church with food to follow. (Food and refreshments will be potluck and anything brought would be greatly appreciated.) Faith Bible Church 17230 N. 59th Ave Glendale, AZ 85308 Clare had requested that this be a celebration of her life, and to wear purple instead of black.
