James Browning
May 7th, 1924 - April 8th, 2017
James Albert Browning passed away peacefully April, 8, 2017, surrounded by family. Jim was the 9th child of 11 children born to Walter William Browning and Daisy Viola Mae O'Banion Browning in Pineville, McDonald County, Missouri May 7, 1924. He was the last surviving child. His first wife, LaRue Jepsen Browning proceeded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Linda Frances Browning and his three children, Madeleine (Harold) Sorensen, Christy (Larry) Bendix and David (Debbie) Browning, as well as 4 step children, James (Charis) Stockton Pruitt, Rebecca Danae Browning, Tamsen (Timothy) Soto and Elizabeth Anne Wright, plus 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. How he loved his family. Jim, also known as Albert when growing up in Pinveille, was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp. He was discharged in Salt Lake City, Utah where he returned to LaRue, his wife and began his stay there until 1993. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1946 and was a faithful member all his life. The funeral for Jim will be April 15th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Ward Chapel in Sun City on Saturday, April 15th at 11 with viewing at 9:30. He will also have a viewing in Murray Utah, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary on Wednesday, April 19th from 5-7 pm with his burial on Thursday, April 20th at 10 am in Sandy, Utah at Larkins Sunset Garden. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of the Valley in Jim's name..
