Carol Netwig

Carol Jean Netwig was 76, when she met her Lord on March 23, 2016. She was born on September 1, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Herman and Winona Roberts. She graduated from Technical High School in 1957 and attended University of Omaha from 1957 to 1958. Subsequently, she married and had three children, Tammy Lee, Nancy Kay and Steven Lawrence. She moved with her family to Phoenix, AZ in 1969. She worked as an administrative secretary, para legal and client associate. She enjoyed gardening, reading and being a "project manager". She especially loved studying the Bible. She spent many hours on independent Bible study and participated in several study groups as well as a small group in her church. She spent many happy hours with her "special friend" Phil Lilley. They enjoyed traveling, attending the Arizona Broadway Theater and just being together. Carol was interested in meeting new people and learning new things. She never really met a stranger. To the very end, she was "highly motivated" and never lost her sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Tammy Lee Harman and grandson Joshua Harman. Carol is survived by her daughter Nancy Kay and son Steven Lawrence, her grandchildren Alicia Spicer (Skyler), Rene Saksek (Adrian), Donald Ryan (Alison) and Brandi Harman. Her great grandchildren are Gracie and Isaiah Saksek, Dominick, Alexandria and Gabriel Ryan and Carter Harman. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl (Mikie) Knight (Andy) as well as several nieces and nephews . A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Faith Bible Church, 17230 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85308 In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice of the Valley, 14066 W.
