Carl J Von Ogden

Obituary On December 18, 2018, Carl J. Von Ogden, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 65. Carl was born May 11, 1953 in Charlotte, Illinois to John and Sarah Von Ogden. He had a long career as an Electrical Engineer before retiring in 2016. On August 29, 2003, he married Elizabeth Christine Westrick. Carl helped raise 5 children; Scott Westrick, Natalie (Nick) Fowler, Christopher (Ashlie) Westrick, Phillip Westrick Jr., and Alexander Stanhope. Carl enjoyed watching football and action movies, playing pool or darts, and spending time with his family. He was a loving Papa, and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, Landon and Aidan, as much as possible. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Carl was preceded in death by his father, John, his mother, Sarah, and his brother, George. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, five children, Scott, Natalie, Chris, Phillip, and Alex, his grandsons Landon, Aidan, and Fynn, his siblings, Anthony (Tony), Joey, Johnny, Mary, Donna, Linda, Carol, and Jenny, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at 13273 E. Coyote Well Dr, Vail AZ 85641 from 1pm – 4pm, flowers or donations may be sent to that address.
