Thomas Edwin Engle

Obituary Thomas Edwin Engle Tucson, Arizona Professional Land Surveyor passed from this world on 25 July 2018 at home after kissing his daughter Autumn good night. Tom was born 11 March 1941 in Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio to George Pearl and Roberta Marie (Noll) Engle. His family moved to Tucson when Tom was five years old. He was a 1959 graduate of Salpointe High School and a graduate of ICS in Surveying and Civil Engineering. Tom joined the United States Army in 1962 as a sharpshooter, until being Honorably Discharged in 1964. He considered two of his greatest accomplishments sweet talking the beautiful Wanda Brown-Miles into marrying him in 1967, and the birth of his children and grand children. Survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Wanda Lee Brown Miles Engle. Daughters, Debbie Faulkenbery (Terry) of Queen Creek, Arizona, Autumn Engle of Tucson, Arizona, Mariah Bott of Tucson, Arizona. Son Rodney Miles (Helen) of New Port Richey, Florida. Three grandsons Chad Miles (Cassi) of Florida, Kevin Faulkenbery of Queen Creek, Arizona, Austin Bott of Marana, Arizona and granddaughter Codi Bott of Tucson, Arizona, as well as two great grand daughters, Ariana and Elianna Miles of Florida. Brother David Eugene (Jeanne) Engle of Tucson, Arizona. Tom was a true outdoorsman that loved his country, fishing, hunting, camping and hiking. He was a real history buff. Over the years Tom was a girl scout leader, 4-H leader and County Fair Superintendent. Member of the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors. Member and past commander of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club. A proud supporter of American Veterans. Tom belonged to many clubs, including - Lifetime member of The Handyman Club of America, North American Hunting Club, North American Fishing Club, National Street Machine Club, Defenders of Wildlife, Wildlife Forever and Cooking Club of America. Associate Member of National Wildlife Federation. Member of The National Audubon Society, The History Channel Club, Bass Master, Sierra Club. A lifelong member and huge supporter of the National Rifle Club even though he wasn't really happy with them lately. Supporter of National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Memorial will be held at VFW Post 4903, 1150 N Beverly Ave, Tucson, AZ 85712, on 27th of August 2018 at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Marana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Marana, AZ, at a later date.
