Kathryn Claire Morrison
November 13th, 1929 - December 20th, 2021
Kathryn Claire Rowley Morrison passed away on December 20, 2021, at her home in Phoenix, Arizona-surrounded by loved ones-at the great age of 92. She was known as Claire to most, and as Boe Boe to her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her daughters-in-law and sons -in-law. The matriarch of the family, she was loved by many and loved many. Claire was born November 13, 1929, in Adams, MA. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1947. She took pride in her hometown and would often recite a wonderful poem about her beloved Mount Greylock. She was a great stay at home mom, who later found great enjoyment working for the ASU Student Bookstore. She was always up for an adventure, and she gladly joined in with the family’s many vacations, expeditions, and moves. She was a parishioner at Corpus Christi Catholic Church and was ready to join our Lord and others in heaven. Claire was known for her sense of humor, sharp wit, and love of jokes. She had an amazing sweet tooth and loved to share her chocolates and ice cream. She was known for her thriftiness, love of coupons, and pure joy at getting a good deal. She is survived by her daughters- Anne Morrison, Andrea O’Brien (Mike), Patricia Kiernan (Kevin) and sons -Eric Morrison (Pamela), Sean Morrison (Shari), and Glenn Morrison, 14 grandchildren- Doug (Katie), Chris, Matthew (Christiana), Patrick ( Tiffany), Lindsay, Sean, Lucas, Ian, Cisco, Tim, Kat, Mo, Tanner (Cristina), and Micah, 4 great-grandchildren- Max, Cecilia, Samuel and Thomas, her brother Francis “Bowser” Rowley, sisters-in-law Linda Rowley and Claire Rowley, and her many nieces and nephews. Claire was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Morrison, her parents Anna and Leo Rowley, and her siblings Anne Boisjolie, James Rowley, Eileen Erler, and Margaret Rowley. She is and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Her funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on June 27, 2022, at Notre Dame Church in Adams MA, with the interment following immediately at Bellevue Cemetery, then a Celebration of Life Reception at Forest Park Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum in Adams MA.
