Peter CarsonVENETA — A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Peter John Thomas Carson of Veneta, who died Sept. 22 of congestive heart failure. He was 63. A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary Madeleine Catholic Church in Portland.He was born May 13, 1946, in Portland to John and Katherine Peters Carson.He graduated from Grant High School in Portland and from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He worked as a vice president at Oregon Bank, and then operated his own business, Galifco Oregon, for 20 years.Survivors include a son, John of Eugene; a daughter, Kristin Carson of Mill Valley, Calif.; a sister, Mary Carson of Portland; and a brother, John of Portland.Remembrances to Lane County Relief Nursery.
