Steven John Gonzales, 38 , a native of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on November 28, 2016. He was born on December 30, 1977 to Ignacio and Lydia Gonzales. Steven is survived by the love of his life, Mary Vasquez (Nita), his mother Lydia, brother Ignacio Gonzales, Jr., sister Eileen Gonzales, grandmother Clara Gonzales and niece and nephew Destiny Gonzalez & Jacob Jimenez whom he helped raise and loved with all his heart. Steven is remembered as an all around football legend out of Ironwood High School, where he got a scholarship and then played for 2 years at Glendale Community College. He had a passion for cooking, especially for the holidays. He went all out for Thanksgiving... taking charge of the cooking, letting no one in the kitchen! We will join to celebrate his life on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 10:00 am at the Samaritan Funeral Home, 1505 E. McDowell St., Phoenix, Arizona.
