Donn Carroll Barber

DONN was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 13, 1932. He arrived in Phoenix, Arizona when he was 13.Not too long after, in high school, he met his first and only love, Clara Sara Welman. They were married in 1953 and began a 63 year journey together. In 1957, Clara became one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and although he didn't see the truth right away, Donn was supportive of Clara's Pioneer work.18 years later, on March 30, 1975, he became a baptized Witness too, much to his family's delight. He was appointed as an Elder in 1986 and cherished that privilege for the rest of his life. Starting at age 13, his hobby was building intricate, to-scale model trains from scratch, a lifelong pursuit up until his death. He loved camping, and his family was his pride and joy. Most of all,he loved to tease those he loved. CLARA and her family would like to thank everyone for the kindness and love they showed to Donn, and continue to show them.
