William Wayne West passed away suddenly on November 11, 2017 at home in Phoenix Arizona. The cause of death was that the Lord Called His Name. After telling his mother that he was tired, got a warm hug, and went to went to lie down on the evening of November 10th. When he missed dinner time of the 11th we learned that he had gone to his eternal home. The medical reason is unknown Willie was born on November 8th, 1970 in Phoenix AZ. He had resided in Phoenix, Tucson, and Napa CA as a child. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. West, and Grandparents Robert E. West, Jane West, Alfred Price, and Betty Lu Talbot. Survivors include his father Wesley Wayne West and step-mother, Beth of Portland OR, mother Challise Price of Phoenix, wife Norma Rivera de West of Palmdale CA, daughters Arielle Eve West and Christa West of Phoenix, daughter Tania Willis also of Palmdale, and Ivan Willis of North Dakota and their families. Other survivors include his uncle Victor West and family of Tucson, aunt Cynthia Robertson of Pasadena CA, cousin Will Robertson of Montana, step-aunt, Caroline Talbot and family of Jerome AZ, Jennifer Brewster, Arielle's mother of Phoenix, his first wife, Mildred Key, Christa's mother of Globe AZ, and many friends. William served in the Army National Guard 259th Engineering Company as a crane operator in Operation Desert Storm. He earned an Army Service ribbon, National Defense Service medal, an Army lapel pin, a Rifle M-16 Marksmanship badge, and a Hand Grenade Sharpshooter badge. He excelled at marketing pizzas before becoming disabled at a young age. He enjoyed reading the Bible and relating the scriptures to current events, gardening, and barbecuing. Willie loved God, family, friends and country and will always be greatly missed forever by friends, family, and his beloved dog, Jackie.
