Stanley Knight Burrows

Stanley Knight Burrows passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 89 on October 4th, 2020. Stan leaves behind his son Stan and wife Pearl, and his daughter Ellen; six grandchildren Timothy, Trisha, Kenneth, Becky, Daniel and Erica, as well as two great-grandchildren, William and Alexa. Stan was preceded in death by his wife Freda Faye Burrows, his parents Myrtle and Reginald, his sisters Bevy, Margie, Dorothy, Eunice, and Marion, and his son James Burrows. Stan was born in Framingham, MA in 1931 and grew up in Northborough MA. He was a member of the class of 1949 at Northborough High School. Stan later moved to Arlington Texas and subsequently Downey CA where he worked for General Motors for over 33 years. Stan was married to the love of his life Freda for 58 years. Freda and Stan retired to Hemet, CA in 1986. Stan had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Stan enjoyed spending time with his dog, working on projects around the house, Bar-B-Queuing, boating, fishing, golfing, listening to music, gardening (sharing crops with his neighbors), dining out with his friends, crossword puzzles, studying nature, political debates, watching sports (especially basketball), and traveling across the country to visit family. Stan enjoyed spending time with his family most of all.
