Stephen Kronenberg Stephen Kronenberg died June 14, 2018. Born in Hamburg, Germany, November 10, 1927 to Fritz and Erika Strauss-Kronenberg. He was 90 years old. Steve lived several places during his childhood: Paris, Berlin, Cologne and Majorica. In 1937, he moved to England where he attended Ackworth Boarding School until graduated in 1944. He emigrated to the United States in 1946 to attend Oregon State College, where he attained a Bachelors of Science in 1950. From 1951 to 1953, he served in the US Army. He became a United States Citizen in 1953, and after serving he completed his Masters in Education at Oregon State University. He married Minnie Mae Eskew in 1956. Together they moved to Eureka, California, where he taught Junior High science. In 1961, they moved to Eugene, Oregon where he taught at Jefferson Junior High until he retired in 1985. Steve is survived by Minnie, his wife of 62 years, and his daughters Kristin Morris and Erika Kronenberg, three grandsons and two granddaughters. He is pre-deceased by their son Mark Kronenberg. A memorial service will be held at Musgrove Mortuary at 225 S. Danebo Ave. on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts to the Eugene Gleemen scholarship fund. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
