Joel Thomas Perry, 81, passed away unexpectedly November 26, 2021. He was born October 26, 1940 in Los Angeles, California, the son of James T. Perry and Joy N. Jordan. He married his sweetheart Linda Lou (Boren) Perry in 1963. They celebrated 58 years together earlier this year. Joel graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1964, and a Master of Education in 1969. After his graduation, he was an avid U of A basketball fan. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda Perry, are his son, Thomas M. Perry, daughters Laura M. Perry and Stephanie L. Perry, sisters Judith Dixon and Merry Beth Wright, grandchildren David Chalmers, Andrea Chalmers Johnson, Brent Nelson, and Tyler Nelson, and 7 great grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held at 9:00 am Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the LDS Church 3500 W. Sumter Drive, Tucson. Internment will be at the LDS Binghampton Cemetery in Tucson.
