Peter Alexander Igras was born on Sunday, February 14, 1993. Peter passed away on March 2, 2019 in San Diego, California. Peter is survived by his loving family, parents, Leon Charles Igras and Claudia Annette Igras, sister Katrina Marie Kidd (husband Russell Kidd) and Nicholas Leon Igras, brother. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Alfred Igras and Helen Susan (Radavich) Igras, Morris Richard Swenson and Augusta Clara Swenson, uncles Richard (Colleen) Swenson, Timothy Swenson. He is survived by aunts and uncles, Mark (Sharon) Swenson, Mary Skerbinc, Katherine (Brian)Malloy, Chris (Terry) Swenson, Cary (Cathy deceased)Swenson, Polly (Steve)Berg, Jane (Doran)Whitledge, Laura (Steve)DeLong. Susan (Greg Brady) Igras, Carol Igras, Elizabeth Lois Igras. Cousins Tarik Hite-Igras, Fatima Hite-Igras, Joshua Swenson, Jennifer Skerbinc, Rebecca Wirkkula, Nathan Skerbinc, Suzanne Nolte, Michael Swenson, Deborah Janssen, Stephanie Kass, Will Malloy, Hannah Conway, Timothy Swenson, Erik Berg, Andrew DeLong and Amanda Weber as well as many other relatives and friends. Peter was born in St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and lived in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Holy Baptism, May, 1993 at Christ Lutheran Church. In 1995, Peter and his family moved to Ellicott City, Maryland. He attended Trinity School and Jemicy School in Maryland. In May 2004 Peter and his family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. He loved hiking and climbed many mountains including the mountains surrounding Harpers Ferry, West Virginia when he was a young boy. Peter was an athlete and was voted MVP on the NDP high school football team. He graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory in 2011. Peter attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and was commissioned as a Naval Officer in May, 2016. LTJG Peter Igras was respectfully referred to as "Div-O" by his Chief Petty Officer and Sailors during his service on the USS Sterett (DDG-104). Peter was strong, intelligent, thoughtful, a great leader, loving and humble. Donations may be made in Peter's name to MISSION22 Charity (www.MISSION22.COM) Memorial Service to be held March 23, 2019 10 a.m. at Living Water Lutheran Church, Scottsdale, AZ.
