Alejandro Perez Castaneda

On Sunday, September 20, 2020, beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, Alejandro Perez Castaneda aka Big Hondo, peacefully transitioned from this life into the hands of God. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 28th 1970 to his loving parents Pete S. Castaneda and Esther Perez Castaneda. He is survived by 3 children Alejandro (lil Hondo), Diego, and Miah, Three siblings Pete Jr, Rene, and Raquel, along with many nieces and nephews. Hondo enjoyed spending time with his three Children, family gatherings, talking sports, bbqing, listening to Elvis, and reminiscing about old times. He will be remembered for his strong spirit, vibrant personality, and devotion to his children, family, and the kids he coached. We will miss his unconditional love, quick witted humor, smile and voice. He will live on now through his teachings and through our thoughts, actions and prayers. Paying respects to the family and viewing of Big Hondo will take place on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 3pm-6pm at Samaritan Funeral Home on 1505 East McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85006. Please, everyone is required to wear a mask and your temperature will be checked upon entry of the facility. There will not be a burial service nor a gathering afterwards.
