Xzavien Jihad Rivera, 19, of Avondale, AZ , passed away on July 24, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona after a Long battle of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He was born on December 30, 2002 to Deressa Dees and Santiago Rivera in Glendale, Arizona. He attended LaJoya High School and graduated in 2022. He was able to beat (ALL) twice and during his long battle with (ALL) he restored his faith with god. He enjoyed music, gaming, spending time with friends and family, rapping, 420, golfing, basketball, and spending time with his uncle Craig. Xzavien is survived by his mother's: Deressa Dees, Shanice Rivera, Marleetha Longs, Keshia Page, and Iesha Parker. His father's Santiago Rivera, Jesse Hebison, and Easton Brissett. Brother's: Isaiah, Valentine, Urijah Rivera, Jacson Williams, Keith Dees Jr, Jevaughnte Brissett and Cody Manfredi. Nephew Ezekiel Rivera Sisters; Venesia Williams, Zariya, and Zariana Brissett. Grandmother's: Cynthia Curtis, Rose Valenzuela, and Nina Dees. Grandfather Elevenee Dees.Great Grandmother Phyllis Staton. Aunts and Uncles: Marquisha & Marquiius Richardson, Phyllis & Ricardo Ruiz, Natoya Dees, Sandra Valenzuela, Alexis Alcatraz, Patrice Dawson, Lynne Mazalauski, Elevenee Dees Jr, Armando Moses Rivera III, girlfriend and love of his life Jasmine Bennett, god brother Marquez Armstrong, and god sisters Marleecia Armstrong and Malaiya Henderson. Plus many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. He was preceded in death by: Great Grandma Ella-Mae Polee, Great Grandpa Ira Polee, Great Grandma Marilyn Curtis, Great Grandpa Alexander Dees, Great Grandpa Albert Curtis, Grandpa Armando Rivera II, Great Grandpa Armando Rivera Sr., and Great Grandma Soccorro Rivera. Services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ 1537 W. Buckeye Road, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The Visitation will be from 2pm-3pm with the service following from 3pm-5pm. The family also invites you to attend the repast at Comfort Suites Inn Banquet Hall 9824 W. Camelback Road, Glendale, AZ 85305 from 6pm-12am. The pallbearers will be: Cody Manfredi, Solek Thorton-Hardy, Isaiah Rivera, Leon Roberts, Jacson Williams, and Keith Dees Jr. The honorary pallbearers are: Patrick Johnson, Marrquiis Richardson, Masscello Thompson, Ricardo Fraser, and Jay Brown. The family thanks everyone for their prayers, flowers, and kind expressions. A special thanks to PCH and Affiliates, LaJoya High School Administration and Staff and Samaritan Funeral home.
