Irene Dunn

Irene Dunn, 84, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5,2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born June 28,1938 in El Paso, TX, she was the daughter of Guillermo Rodriguez and Maria Aguilar. She was preceded in death by both her parents as well as two sisters and one brother: Tillie Rodriguez, Willie Rodriguez and Magdalena Hansen all of El Paso, TX. Irene worked as a massage therapist until the age of 78 displaying a real ministry to all those that she touched. Irene lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; especially spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and praying for her family and spent many occasions celebrating birthdays and holidays with her many loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Rex C. Dunn of Phoenix, AZ. 6 children: Thomas J. Mora and his wife Bonnie of Rocky Point, MX, Nanette Arrieta of El Paso, TX, Barbara Portillo and her husband Jaime of El Paso, TX, Paul Mora and his wife Anna of Peoria, AZ, Stephen Mora of Phoenix, AZ and Shawn Dunn of Phoenix, AZ. Irene was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Debi Mora, Michael Mora, Danielle Mora Speidel, Matthew Mora, Joseph Arrieta, Brittanie Portillo McCoy, James Portillo, Paul Mora, Meagan Mora Romero and David Mora and 14 great grandchildren: Savanna Welstad, Lilli Welstad, Kate Mora, Kara Mora, Lucy Mora, Lexi Mora, Thomas Speidel, Cora McDowell, Marlee Arrieta, Tenley McCoy, Matteo McCoy, Ava Romero, Luca Mora and Iris Honey Romero. A private Celebration of Irene’s life is scheduled for December 24, 2022 (her favorite holiday) and a private graveside service will be held at a later date in her hometown of El Paso, Texas.
