Paul Edward D'Alessio

Paul Edward D'Alessio, 73, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on the afternoon of June 15, 2023. Paul was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He was the only child of Matteo and Josephine D'Alessio. In 1970, he set out on a cross-country adventure in an old blue Chevy van with his Triumph motorcycle tied in the back. He found himself in Tucson, Arizona where he fell in love with the beautiful desert landscape. He decided to stay in Tucson and attend the University of Arizona. As fate would have it, Paul walked into the wrong college classroom and his focus shifted, majors changed and later the journey and creation of his landscape company, Able Earth evolved. From humble beginnings and countless hours of back-breaking work, Paul later founded Kalamazoo Materials Inc, a family-owned and operated company that became a pillar in the landscaping industry. Paul D'Alessio is survived by his loving daughters and their families: Jessica Canez, (Leander Canez), Carissa D'Alessio, and Paula D'Alessio. His grandchildren who were a source of immense joy in his life: Matteo James D'Alessio, Jazmine D'Alessio, Angel D'Alessio, William Canez, Jhene Alday, Daniel D'Alessio, and Demarco Alday and two great grandchildren. Paul's legacy lives on through his family along with those fortunate to have known him. His spirit of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family will continue to inspire future generations as they carry his memory in their hearts.
