Thao Phuong Nguyen

One of the greatest contributors to the Tucson Community, Thao Phuong Nguyen (Lucky), age 53, passed away on August 11, 2023. With unimaginable strength, Lucky fought against her Bile Duct cancer for 8 months and we are so proud of her. A blessing to the world, Thao was born on March 23, 1970 in Saigon, Vietnam. The little girl with big dreams, traveled to America for a better life in 1994, and met her husband in 1996. Thao received her associates in photography, but fell in love with business. She started her first business in 1999 and went on to start 6 other ones. Coming from nothing she built an empire. She accomplished everything she ever put her mind to. Thao made everyone feel special. She was charitable, always giving and trying to help others. She was hard working, a dreamer, extremely beautiful, and the life of the party. Her food was absolutely breathe-taking and in feeding others, she always found happiness. She will forever be an inspiration for those who had the privilege of meeting her. No one could ever compare. Thao is survived by her husband William Anthony Lewis Jr., her daughter, Sienna Hoang Lewis, her son Anthony Nguyen Lewis and her mother Quy Hoang. She is preceded in death by her father Tam Nguyen, and she is remembered by her sisters Tan Nguyen and Thy Nguyen, her brother Truong Nguyen, and her nieces and nephews. We will always remember and love you, Tiger Thao.
