Joan A. Nottoli a resident of Twin Lakes, Michigan (Lake Gerald) passed away on August 7, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 90. Joan was the wife of Robert N. Nottoli (deceased) of Hancock, MI. Joan was born in Braintree, MA and graduated from Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. Joan was also a veteran of the Air Force. Upon graduation, Joan became a registered nurse working at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA as well as serving as a private care nurse before entering the Air Force. She served as an RN in the Air Force for 3 years which is where she met Robert, both served overseas before getting married. Following retirement in 1993 Joan and Robert divided their time between Lake Gerald in Upper Michigan and Tucson, Arizona. Joan is survived by two children – Stephen (and his wife Roxanne) of San Diego and his daughter Cynthia Phillips (and her husband Timothy) of Denver. Joan was a Master Gardener and a member of Air Force Veterans Affairs, Military Officers Association, Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing Alumni and other organizations where she volunteered. Grave site services will be conducted at the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock in the summer of 2024 (specific date to be determined by the family at a later date).
