Jo Cacciatore, 97, of Tucson AZ, peacefully passed away on January 5, 2024. She was born on August 20, 1926, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Gerlando and Theresa Cipolla, and had 3 sisters and 2 brothers whom she loved very much. She married Ray Cacciatore on June 22, 1947, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Rockford, IL where they lived until their retirement. Jo worked part-time as a tailor, seamstress and sales clerk over the course of her life, but she dedicated the majority of her days to her family. She cherished her 4 children, Steve (Cathy), Jerry (Amy), Marianna (Don), and Theresa (Pat), her 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was an avid cook and baker who showed her love by frequently making delicious Italian food for her family and friends. She was a devoted Catholic, and was active with several Catholic churches in Rockford, and in Tucson at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. For the past 11 years, she has lived at Atria Campana del Rio Senior Living Center where she served as an ambassador for new members, helping them feel welcome in their new community. She was deeply loved by the residents and staff there. She will be missed! A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd. Tucson, AZ 85742. (520) 297-7357. Burial immediately following at the mausoleum at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Rd. (at Prince). There will be a memorial service at a later date at Atria Campana del Rio for her friends there. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to one of the two non-profits below: 1.
