Norma Drum Hilfiger, 95, passed away peacefully January 15, 2014 in Tucson, AZ under the care of Casa de la Luz Hospice. Norma was born in Cohocton, NY on September 29, 1918, daughter of Floyd and Merle (Bielefeld) Drum. She married Mark Hilfiger in Mansfield, PA in 1938. Later they moved to Hornell, then North Hornell. Together they owned and operated the Wayland Drive In restaurant in Wayland until they retired and moved to Tucson, AZ in 1973. Her husband predeceased her in 2011. Norma was a long time member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Tucson where she was a deacon and very active in church activities. She was totally devoted to her family and was always loving, kind, generous, and giving. Her passion was cooking and baking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who will be sadly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Myra Hickey of Roanoke, VA and Charlotte Thomas of Scottsdale, AZ; brother S.V. Drum of Hillsborough, CA; grandchildren Peter Thomas of Las Vegas, NV and Anna Riling of Durango, CO; great-granddaughters Audrey Thomas and Emily Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; nieces Kathleen McGurty of Peekskill, NY and Diane Andreozzi of San Mateo, CA. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund, 9252 E. 22nd Street, Tucson, AZ 85710 Adair Funeral Home, Tucson, AZ is handling the arrangements.
