PURDY, Donald R., 82, passed away January 25, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 22, 1931, Frederick, OK to Guy and JenniaLee Purdy, who preceded him in death, as well as his siblings, Gerald Ray Purdy and Wilma Jean Leeder. He was married to Jessie Juanita Cokendolpher, July 22, 1951, who preceded him in death in 2005, after 53 years of marriage. Survived by daughters, Janice L. Myers (Rich) Gap, PA; Rebecca L. Kroncke (Kenneth) Los Alamos, NM and Regina L. Boring (Lee) Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Lucas Boring (Patrice) and Laura Coody (Daniel) of Tucson, AZ; Christopher Bruce (Jennifer) and J. Matthew Bruce of Coatesville, PA; Erik Kroncke of Bothell, WA; Kevin Kroncke (Rachel) of Broomfield, CO; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Jenna and Connor Coody, Cotton and Cactus Boring and Ascher Bruce. He retired with Honors in 1976, as a Master Sargent of the US Air Force after 27 years of service and as a Captain in the Air Force Reserves. He served in Korea and Thailand. In retirement he built the Lazy D Bar J Ranch outside of Wilcox, AZ. He loved ranching, cattle and horses. Private services will be held at a later date.
