Richard C. Middleton 04/26/1951 - 10/15/2014 Rick passed away in his home after a valiant battle with cancer, with his children by his side. Rick leaves behind his sister, Patty; former wife, Rosemary; three children, Gregory (Joy), Andrea, and Chad; granddaughter, Giselle; and his many close friends. Rick was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where he began his 35 year career as a police officer with Sierra Vista PD, then continued on with the Tucson Police Department and retired in 2009 as a well-respected Commanding Officer. Rick was known for his generosity, charismatic smile, and true love of life and will truly be missed by all who knew him. His children give special thanks to his long-time friends, Dan Schneider and Eileen Foster, for their unconditional love and the care they provided for their father. The Celebration of Rick's life will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern, on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arizona Cancer Center. Thank you for your sunset, Dad. -
